Sanur is a gorgeous little spot on Bali’s east coast, about a 30 minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Sanur is largely a resort spot in Bali, Indonesia with luxury resorts lining the beach. Although there is also a wide range of accommodation options located very close to the beach.

Sanur is famous for a long winding path that runs the entire length of the beach, about 3 miles (5 km). The beaches are also quite calm and clean, making it a popular spot for families holidaying on the island.

There are plenty of international food choices but if you’re in the mood for more local flavors and atmosphere then there is also the Sanur Night Market, also known as the Sindhu Market Sanur.

What Time Does Sanur Night Market Open?


Sanur Night Market (also known as Sindhu Night Market) is an open air food stalls market that is open nightly from 4pm to 10pm.

If you’re keen to try traditional Balinese and Indonesian local food in a casual and more local setting then the Sanur Night Markets is definitely a spot to try while holidaying on Sanur. There is a range of vendors selling local Indonesian dishes, including Nasi Campur, Nasi Goreng and Gado Gado to name a few.

Each vendor specializes in a dish or two, there are plenty of places to sit, eat and enjoy the atmosphere. The street food dishes are prepared freshly while you wait, so be prepared to wait for your dish to be prepared.

The markets are clean and offer a great atmosphere with both locals and tourists enjoying the many local dishes.

The prices are very reasonable and the Rupiah goes very far when enjoying local dishes, especially compared to more western foods in Bali.

Where is Sanur Night Market?

The Sanur Night Market location is at 2, Jalan Pungutan, Sanur. Near-ish the corner of Jalan Danau Tamblingan. Jalan Danau Tamblingan is the main road in Sanur and it’s about a 20 minute walk from the main part of Sanur (near Hardy’s) to the Sanur Night Market. The footpaths along Jalan Danau Tamblingan are very good by Bali standards.

Although the markets are quite centrally located in Sanur, the taxi could be a great option if the Bali heat is particularly hot! The Sanur Night Markets are about a 5 minute taxi ride away from the main part of Sanur (near Hardy’s).

The Sanur Night Market location is also home to fresh produce markets in the mornings. This market is located on the same spot but indoors.

It’s a great place to pick up some fruit and vegetables (if you’re doing some self catering). They are also vendors selling a range of other grocery items, spices, various household items and items for the Balinese offerings. Worth checking out if you’re an early bird and would like to wander around Sanur before the day heats up.
